Well Baby check up and Big Boy check up!

Just after Christmas we took the boys to their 9 month and 3 year check ups.

Luke:  He is in the 92% for height and 12% for weight.  This was even  after he lost almost a pound from being sick for about a week.  These numbers are for a regular 9 month old and not a preemie even! He is a big boy with such a cute smile to light up a room. He's now ten months and is rolling over and sitting up but not yet crawling or sleeping through the night.  He doesn't have a tooth yet which I'm a little scared to begin teething with him because everything with Luke has been hard so I'm not looking forward to it.  He still hates tummy time and I'm not sure when he will eventually get around but I just have to remind myself that he's still really only 8 1/2 months old (from his due date) and eventually he'll catch up.

Marcus:  He is in the 75% for height and 45% for weight.  He impressed our doctor by knowing his numbers and letters.  By the end of the appointment our Dr. gave him a little talking too about peeing and pooing in the potty because he's a big boy.  So I knew it was time to stop procrastinating and a couple weeks later he is doing great.  He's had a couple of accidents but that usually happens when he is really into what he is doing.

We are so blessed to have two healthy and happy little boys and we love them so much.  It's so amazing to me as a mother that I'm responsible for these little boys who were saved for this time to come to earth.

I Believe in Santa...

Well it's way past time to post for Christmas but I'm doing it anyways.  Our Christmas was great it was so fun because Marcus was actually excited and looking forward to Santa coming.  Let me tell you Santa is one smart guy he knew exactly what Marcus would like.  Marcus got a Broncos football uniform from Santa...helmet, pads, jersey, pants and even a new football.  It was funny because after Marcus got his new uniform on he noticed one thing... that he didn't have any new football shoes to go with his outfit.  What a character!

Santa got the perfect present for Marcus but the next day was Sunday and that's when we realized that maybe this present was a little too perfect.  Marcus had a little melt down when he realized that he could not wear his new uniform to church, and not only that but not even every day.   There have been some tears but mostly lots of football playing.

Marcus thinks he is now on the Broncos team and I must admit that he probably wouldn't hurt the team if he was on it!  He calls the Broncos team on the phone, he practices scoring touch downs and he even got some new football shoes for going in the big boy potty.

So this new present sure made me a big believer in the big man from the north pole.
