1 Year Blogging Sabbatical

Wow it's really been a year....I can't believe it.  Well I thought that I would take a little break from the blogging world, and it turned into a year, to find out that I really missed it in some ways and not so much in other ways.  But I am back and will try to blog for those family members out there who've asked me to get back to it.  So a quick update of our little family and then I'll post pics in the next few days too!

Aaron (aka head of house) In the past few weeks Aaron has moved into a new position at CSC and really enjoys doing all that he does.  His new title is Executive Director of Student Affairs...sounds kind of fancy huh?  Other than work Aaron still enjoys playing ball whenever he gets a chance and now that we are in the midst of the NBA playoffs it includes watching it a lot too.

Marcus (aka as Luke says it Marky)  Marcus LOVED his first year of preschool.  He made tons of friends and loves playing with his new friends.  He would wake up on school days and ask who had snack that day, which is very important to a 4 year old.  Marcus still loves anything to do with a ball and is even enjoying his first Tball season.  At church Marcus loves to get up in front and give talks and say prayers.  He is still sooo active but he such a good fun boy we have lots of fun together!

Luke (aka Master Luke or Luke the Poop)  Luke is a typical 2 year old and loves following big brother around.  He talks a lot (at least more than Marcus did at 2) and will repeat almost anything we say.  He is still a momma's boy (which I don't mind most of the time) and loves his binky and blanket.  Luke likes to play with cars and balls.  He loves books and knows all his letters and can count to 10.  We sure do love our little Lukey.

Me, myself and I are up to the same ol stuff and not a lot has changed for me in the last year.  I still love to take care of my boys and  I'm one lucky momma.  I started to run a bit this year and really tried to love it but still haven't found the passion I hoped that I would find.  I am excited that I get to coach the 8th grade volleyball teams this next year.  It will be a new experience and am really looking forward to it.

Well there my brief update of our little family!  Looking forward to look at other family blogs that I've missed checking this past year too!

Where to begin...

I guess the think I need to admit first and foremost is that I'm the worst blogger alive!  Now that that is said I can move on and give you some updates:

Luke is walking!  He started out about a month and a half ago but is pretty much full fledged walking now.  He loves the water and following big brother around and playing (or wrecking) whatever Marcus is doing.  He is a WONDERFUL eater and eats just about everything in site.  Luke is repeating sounds after us and can say; ba (boo), na na (no no), mama and dada.

Marcus is really turned into quite the 3 year old.  I now know that 3 IS harder than 2.  Once he has is mind made up then that is it...but he still has his tender heart and minds most of the time.  Some of his new sayings are;  not yet,  fine!, 5 more (or anything), how you doing?, and how's work dad?.   He loves to run and be with any other kid.  He loves to play hoops, football, with his cars, hide n seek, and baseball.

So now there's your somewhat of  an update here's some pics (at least I'm not an utter failure you get some updated pics)

Lukey Lou is ONE-a-Roo

Our little baby is one and I can't believe it.  Yes it seems like the longest year of my life is some aspects (no sleep) but then again I look back and it went quite fast.  Luke's spent his birthday with Grandpa and Grandma Prestwich and also Nana Martinez.  We had lunch and then Luke actually tore into his cake I was pretty impressed.  I looked back at past post and realize that I have posted his birth experience and I'll have to so as I don't ever forget what a little miracle we've been blessed with.  Here's some pics of Luke's birthday bash.
