We had a great Valentines day/weekend. My mom came to visit us Thursday through Sunday and we had a great time catching up, swapping recipes and playing with the little man. Marcus loved the attention and really enjoys playing with his grandma.
So Friday Aaron and I celebrated our Valentines Day by going out to Dinner and a Movie. It was so nice to go out and get dressed up, have adult conversation and not have to worry about the little guy.
Then on Saturday I spent the day slaving away making Aaron's favorite cookies for his VDay present. I've made these cookies every year since we've been together. They are delish but take up so much time (that's why I make them only once a year).
Valentines Day is a wonderful (yet over commercialized) holiday to reflect on the family and friends that mean so much to you. I have a wonderful hubby, adorable boy, and all the loving family and friends a girl could want!

I agree, Valentines day is over commercialized. But none the less a moment to step back and take a look at all the love that is around us.

Glad you guys had a fun weekend! And your cookies look so good! I should get the recipe...but I don't know that it would help; I can't do those rolled sugar cookies very well.
